Our Community

Our community is governed by Palm Bay at Bayside Homeowners Association (HOA) and is supported by Palm Bay Community Development District (CDD). These two entities work together to make Palm Bay at Bayside a friendly, inviting and safe place to call home. However, each group provides distinct services to our community.

Our HOA helps to maintain the overall appearance of our community. The HOA is responsible for ensuring that all homeowners comply with rules of the community and architectural standards. The board consists of five directors who conduct the business of our HOA. At annual homeowners meetings, residents elect directors to the HOA board for staggered two-year terms. Directors on the HOA board then elect the officers, which include the president, secretary and treasurer. General meetings of the board of directors are currently held every three months at the Town N’ Country Library and are open to all residents to attend. For additional information on meeting dates, as well as contacts of HOA and other individuals associated with Palm Bay at Bayside, please see the Contacts page or Board page on this website.

The CDD is a form of local government similar to cities and counties. The developer of Palm Bay originally set up the CDD to cover the cost of providing and maintaining the infrastructure and amenities in Palm Bay. These include roads and sidewalks, sewers and water, streetlights, trash pickup, the front wall and gate, our private beach area, and landscaping in common areas. A board of supervisors consisting of five residents manages the business of the CDD. Each November at the annual meeting, landowners elect Individuals who sit on the board of supervisors and who serve staggered four-year terms. The board members are public officials since CDDs are local government entities. The CDD must follow Florida’s Sunshine Laws and must conduct meetings in an official public setting where any member of the public may attend. Visit their website http://www.palmbaycdd.net/ for more information.

We live in a great community and have made friends with our neighbors. In an effort to continue to improve our community, we encourage all residents to take an active role and invite you to attend HOA and CDD Board meetings, get involved with committees, and participate in community sponsored events
